Little Stevie Ray Vaughn

My mother is "fostering" (read: not yet ready to admit she is adopting) a VERY cute kitten from the shelter in Tallahassee she has naked Stevie (Stevie Ray Vaughn is his full name.) He is still a tiny thing, we don't think he weighs quite a pound yet and is eating a mix of kitten formula and wet food, but already he is taking over the Cormier household!

Ok, Stevie isn't in this picture, but every time Nolan wears something ridiculous (which is pretty often) I feel the need to take a picture.

Stevie's first night.

Ridiculous.

Lots of new stuff . . .

My mother's friend, Fred, is fostering a baby squirrel that he rescued a few weeks ago. This was Nolan's first introduction to "Shelly."

Linda came up to visit over Labor day weekend and we spent an afternoon at the beach. Nolan was so excited that someone would just sit with him in the sand and play in the water!

Mass trip

We had a great trip up to Massachusetts a few weeks ago. It was Nolan's first visit to meet my side of the family and his first train trip. The train ride was long, but worked out very well and Nolan had a blast meeting family and friends. We're hoping for another trip up there very soon so Nolan grows up really knowing our family up there.

Eating a peach at his Aunt Keyla's house. He just grabbed this peach off the table and started eating it, so its the first time he's ever had a peach that wasn't cut into tiny cubes.

My brother in law, John, showing Nathaniel and Ayva (my niece and nephew) how to putt at mini golf. Nolan had a great time at mini golf, but thought the goal was to run around and pick up all the balls.

Nolan's first buzz cut! He handled it very well.

Nolan and his Uncle John. They were crazy about each other.

We made Buzzy push Nolan to Kay's Dairy Bar so we could all get some ice cream.

My new favorite picture

I took Nolan to a nearby park last weekend and snapped this picture just as he was making his signature face. He had a great time until shortly after this picture was taken when I had to tell him no and he tried to get me back by shoving a handful of dirt into his mouth . . .

The beach . . .

A few weeks ago we spent a week at the beach swimming, sunning and relaxing. Nolan had a fabulous time on his first week long vacation. He slept in until 9:20 one morning (which is 10:20 Tallahassee time) and loved the beach.
